The sculpture “Dubbel figuur” combines symmetry in the meeting of the two sexes. Both arise when folding the female figure. Symmetry is created here by the combination of two arms and two legs, the encounter will result by the meeting of the head and feet. The dual characteristic also further reflected in the fact that the female figure assumes a male phallus shape. Striking element in the image is the vagina. This gives the female of the image and the image eroticises simultaneously. As with my other images eroticism is not the purpose of the image, but this may result when the female is explicitly depicted. Seen from the rear are the male and female can also be found. The envelope, centric force that is portrayed with arms in the lower part of the image is typically female. The eccentric, outwardly facing force (the male) is from the legs pointing upwards. It is worth mentioning at this, finally, is that the original was carved out of stone. This can still be recognized by the compact foot of the image. The figure is, as it were, pulled out of the stone.
